Purchasing an Original

I thought I would use my blog to give you additional information regarding purchasing an original from my website. This way I won't clutter up the Purchase page, and if you're interested, I can show you how I prepare a painting for shipping.

I use Canada Post when shipping. It's inexpensive and dependable. They ship anywhere AND I've already included Regular Parcel shipping costs into the price of each painting on my website. If you want the painting in a hurry, make arrangements with me before purchase. I can get it to you sooner with Xpresspost, as well, they track the parcel with a timely guarantee. If shipping is not included, it will be clearly visible at the site of the painting.

When you purchase a pastel that is not framed from my website, I include a single acid-free mat and foam core backing. You may not intend on framing the piece with the included mat, however, the mat adds as additional protection to the piece during shipping.

I wrap the matted pastel in paper. This paper should remain on the piece until the painting is properly framed. Although I do use minimal fixative, the pastel crystals are able to shift slightly when touched.

And finally, I will include instructions for proper care and framing of your purchase.
I wrap it again in plastic to protect the piece from possible water exposure, and in a couple layers of cardboard for shipping.

So, for the curious (like me) this is an inside look at how a purchase will arrive at your doorstep. Don't hesitate to ask me anything prior to buying. I will do my best to accommodate. http://trishacres.weebly.com/purchase.html

All purchases are guaranteed within 15 days of receiving it. If you're not completely satisfied with your pastel, just return it to me, and I will refund your original purchase amount.
